Contact Information: The main purpose of business cards is to convey contact information. For this reason, it is important to include information such as name, title, company name, telephone number, e-mail address, website and workplace address in the design. Contact information should be arranged clearly and legibly.
Brand Identity: Business cards should represent the identity of a company or brand. Therefore, colours, logos or other visual elements of the brand can be used in the design. By reflecting the brand identity, the business card increases the consistency and recognisability of the brand.
Visual Elements: Visual elements can be used to enhance the appeal of business cards and make them memorable. This can be minimalist graphics, background patterns, pictures or images that reflect the company’s products or services. The use of visuals makes the business card eye-catching and unique.
Typography: Typefaces are important for the readability and aesthetics of the business card. The typefaces used in the design should reflect the style of the brand and be easily readable. A harmonious hierarchy should be created between texts such as title, subtitle and contact information.
Layout and Template: Business cards are usually designed in standard sizes (e.g. 8.5 cm x 5.5 cm). The layout aims to ensure logical organization of information and readability. Appropriate placement of information ensures visual balance and a professional appearance of the business card.
